MereArts

MereArts is a consortium of nonprofits and artists that is exploring the stories and art forms of antiquity. We hope to build a relationship with Westchester County to develop a county program or administer a building at the Westchester County Park Merestead. After discussions with Westchester Recreation leaders and the Friends of Merestead to see how their priorities can be supported by our efforts, we intend to write a proposal that outlines a working model for our activities on county properties.

From September 2024 through July 2025, MereArts will introduce itself to the community through a combination of house concerts and public events.

Currently, MereArts is a project of the Westchester-based nonprofit organization Academy of Sacred Drama, Ltd (EIN 82-1758160). Depending on the final shape of the project, a new nonprofit might be formed, a county program might be developed, or a festival model might be embraced.
